Spring ahead

When Minnesota designer DeBora Rachelle was in college, her handbag was stolen off the back of her chair in a restaurant. ‘‘You never really get over it,’’ she says. Her revenge was to design a line of leather handbags in 45 styles to deter thieves — a decorative hook on the side lets you hang the bag over the side of a restaurant table or public bathroom stall, so it’s never out of sight. When you’re not using the hook, it magnetizes to the side of the purse. Handbags with hooks by DeBora Rachelle, $160-$298; DeBoraRachelle.com; 218-722-0340.
